Summer Fun! The Festival of Balloons

Every year we love going to the Tigard Festival of Balloons. It starts when we see hot air balloons right outside our window!!

We went to the Saturday night Night Glow this year. Molly loved eating corn on the cob!!

Molly decided she loves rides!! Daddy took her on this airplane ride and she squealed the whole time!!

She even convinced Bama to go with her!!

Then they lit the balloons up for Night Glow.

What a fun summer night!!

Thomas The Train!

We bought tickets to “A Day out with Thomas” at the Mt. Hood Railroad in Hood River. I thought Molly would like it because she is SOO into trains right now!! Sure, enough, we had a wonderful day. She got excited right when she saw Thomas:

She got to ride on a mini train, which she LOVED!

She got to meet Sir Topham Hat:

There were games, trains, tattoos and crafts.

Then it was finally our turn to ride Thomas!! She loved every minute of the 30 minute ride!

What a fun day for all of us!! Molly will always remember riding Thomas!

Spring Break 2011

As Spring Break comes to a close, I thought I would share some of our adventures with you!! We started off the week by going to a brand new pizza place that opened near us. It is called John’s Incredible Pizza Co. It has an arcade and rides in addition to its all-you-can-eat buffet. Molly had a blast and has been asking to go back ever since.

Riding a helicopter game with Daddy!

The middle part of our week was filled with errands and appointments. We got a lot done around the house to get ready for spring. Molly also got her second haircut. Then, as a grand finale, Matt took Friday off so we could go up to Mt. Hood and take Molly tubing for the first time!! Matt & Molly had a blast. I was the photographer, of course, but I can’t wait to join them in a tube next year.

Up the rope tow!!

First run of the day!

Safari!!

I had been wanting to take Molly down to the Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon for awhile. It was one of my favorite spots to visit when I was a kid. We had a great opportunity to go when we went down to Roseburg for my cousin Brad’s Wedding reception. We met my cousin Georgia and her two (almost three!!) boys, Avery and Eli. We all piled into my mom’s car… without carseats!! They aren’t required as you drive around looking at animals, and all three kids enjoyed every second of their newfound freedom in the car!! They were climbing over seats and in and out of people laps the whole time!! We loved seeing all of the animals, but the highlight included the giraffes, who walked right around our car. Also, the tigers who were having a training session while we passed by!! Here is a video and some photos from our fun day!!

She loved freedom from the carseat!!

Everyone looking out the back to see a giraffe!!

Molly & Eli loved each other!!

Climbing trees with the boys!!

Eli was an adorable lamb!!

Leaving the safari with their tubes full of animals!! What a fun day!!

A Snowy Thanksgiving!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend visiting Matt & Lauren in Bend!! We are pretty sure Molly would rather live with them!

Molly helped Uncle Matt make Pumpkin Pies:

Trig wanted to help too!!

Auntie Lo made a beautiful Turkey:

Matt carved his first Turkey:

He also caught a little turkey!!

On Friday, we enjoyed the snow!! We discovered that Molly loves sledding!

We also played lots of games like Pinocle, Taboo and Blockus.

And Molly was worn out!!

On Saturday morning, even more snow fell and we built a snowman.

What a wonderful Thanksgiving!! We have so much to be thankful for this year.

Here is a video of highlights from the weekend:
