Our Neighborhood Parade:

We had a great 4th of July weekend!! Sally & Scott came out from Boulder, CO to visit and spend the 4th with us. It was a very busy day. Molly participated in our neighborhood kids parade for the first time! We BBQ’d some babyback ribs that were amazing. Molly saw her first fireworks! Then Molly went to bed and Sally, Scott K., Scott H, my mom & dad and I walked to Tigard High School watch the big fireworks there. All in all, it was a very memorable 4th!! Holidays are always more fun with kids to share the excitement. Here are some pictures from our day. There are more on Picasa if you click on the last picture!

The past fews days have been hot ones in Oregon. In the upper 80’s and 90’s! We are very fortunate to have air conditioning to keep us (and especially Molly!) cool. Some of my friends from my Moms group I am in told us about this great park in Wilsonville that is great for kids on hot days. It is called Memorial park and there are lots of fountains for the kids to play in. We went with some of the moms & babies on Thursday and Molly had a blast!! She has no fear and seemed to love the water! We had so much fun, we decided to take Matt back there today since he had the day off! We all had a great time. I think we have found a new summer hang out!! Here are some pictures from our two days at the water park! Enjoy!

Father’s Day!

Matt’s first Father’s day was a lot of fun!! Molly gave her Daddy a pocket watch with their picture in it to add to his collection, a puzzle made out of our family photo from San Francisco, and a jar or sour cherries candy. She also left him notes about why she loves him attached to some fun sodas for him to find in the fridge! We spent the day doing things Daddy loves to do…… watching golf and going to the Olive Garden! Molly ate some spaghetti at the Olive Garden for the first time!! Very messy but very fun!! Then we joined Grandpa Wayne for some Father’s Day chocolate!! Happy Father’s day to all the dads out there, and especially to Molly’s wonderful Daddy!

This past weekend we visited Matt & Lauren in Roseville, CA. We had a great time!! Molly did great on the flights with a minor crying spell as we landed in CA. She made up for it though by being happy and smiley the WHOLE return flight! The short flights were just perfect for traveling with a 10 month old!

Molly loves her Uncle Matt & Auntie Lo! She also loved meeting her “cat cousins” Tucker & Trig! She loved to chase them and their tails!! They were as curious about her as she was of them. We had a great weekend just hanging out, eating good food (of course!) and taking pictures!! Matt & Lauren just got a Nikon D40 also, so it was a weekend of dueling cameras……I think Lauren & Matt H. were sick of pictures, but Matt K. and I were having a ball! ;-) We also took Molly to San Francisco. I love that city!! Seafood, sourdough bread & chocolate…..what could be better??!! Here are some favorite photos. Click on them to get to more on Picasa:

On Sunday, Molly turned 10 months old! It has been a busy month for her!! On May 28th, she started crawling. On May 29th, she pulled up to standing! Then on May 30th, she started standing up and letting go with both hands!! Now she LOVES to stand and be up. There is nothing she won’t try to climb! We are all adjusting to having a mobile Molly, especially Cassie! She is also eating many more finger foods. She loves noodles, cheese, goldfish, bread, absolutely anything she can chew!! Also she wants to try anything on our plates! She has become a little beggar!! It is such a fun age because she really interacts with us. She is overall a very happy little girl! I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone. Before I know it summer will be over and I will have a one year old!! Here are a couple favorite photos from this month. Click on them for more!! Enjoy!!
